And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulcher, and how his body was laid.

Jesus Christ rose on Sunday and according to the verses above, Sunday is the first day of the week. The day before Sunday is the Sabbath day. A week has seven days. So if the first be Sunday. Counting the Seventh will bring you to Saturday.
