0And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among robbers, who stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.31And by chance there came down a certain priest that way; and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.32And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.33But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came were he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,34And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.35And on the morrow, when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said to him, Take care of him: and whatever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.36Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbor to him that fell among the robbers?37And he said, He that showed mercy on him. Then said Jesus to him, Go, and do thou likewiseLuke.10:30-37

1Now it came to pass in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Beth-lehem-judah went to dwell in the country of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons.2And the name of the man was Elimelech, and the name of his wife Naomi, and the name of his two sons Mahlon and Chilion, Ephrathites of Beth-lehem-judah. And they came into the country of Moab, and continued there.3And Elimelech Naomi’s husband died; and she was left, and her two sons.4And they took to themselves wives of the women of Moab; the name of the one was Orpah, and the name of the other Ruth: and they dwelt there about ten years.5And Mahlon and Chilion died also both of them; and the woman was left by her two sons and her husband.6Then she arose with her daughters-in-law, that she might return from the country of Moab: for she had heard in the country of Moab how that the LORD had visited his people in giving them bread.7Wherefore she went forth from the place where she was, and her two daughters-in-law with her; and they went on the way to return to the land of Judah.8And Naomi said to her two daughters-in-law, Go, return each to her mother’s house: the LORD deal kindly with you, as ye have dealt with the dead, and with me.9The LORD grant you that ye may find rest, each of you in the house of her husband. Then she kissed them; and they lifted up their voice, and wept.10And they said to her, surely we will return with thee to thy people.11And Naomi said, Turn again, my daughters: why will ye go with me? shall I bear more sons, that they may be your husbands?12Turn again, my daughters, go your way; for I am too old to have a husband. If I should say, I have hope, if I should have a husband also to-night, and should also bear sons;13Would ye wait for them till they should be grown? would ye stay for them from having husbands? nay, my daughters; for it grieveth me much for your sakes, that the hand of the LORD has gone out against me.14And they lifted up their voice, and wept again. And Orpah kissed her mother-in-law; but Ruth cleaved to her.15And she said, Behold, thy sister-in-law hath gone back to her people, and to her gods: return thou after thy sister-in-law.16And Ruth said, Entreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my GodRuth.1:1-16
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. John.15:5
We are all children of God and are looking forward to going to heaven.
1 I must have the Saviour with me,For I dare not walk alone;I must feel his presence near me,And his arm around me thrown.Refrain:Then my soul shall fear no ill;Let him lead me where he will,I will go without a murmur,And his footsteps follow still.
2 I must have the Saviour with me,For my faith at best is weak;He can whisper words of comfortThat no other voice can speak.
3 I must have the Saviour with meIn the onward march of life;Through the tempest and the sunshine,Through the battle and the strife.
